Travel Insrance

Yesterday I phoned the insurance company that deal with our travel insurance to renew the policy. It seems that because of my medical condition they can no longer offer me cover for it.
Last night I searched the internet and got a few possabilities and this morning I looked in the local telephone book and picked out some from there.
At 9am I started to work through the list getting the same answer every time. One company were of great help though, the ladydealing with my request was from USA and then she told me she was from Boston. GREAT, we had a good long chat then got down to buisness, she couldnt get me the policy I wanted but she gave me the number for the assosiation of British Insurance. After more phone calls and been told that because I have a termial illness no one will insure me I began to feel that perhaps my long distance holidays were over.
I finally got the break through I was looking for, a local small independent company that I had phoned first thing in the morning and were doing a search for me, finally rang me back with a quote. Its not cheap but it could be a lot more and whats even better its for 12mths. world wide cover.As with all policys if things change I must let them know but thats a minor detail.
Boy am I happy, it means I can go to Paul and Beths wedding and any where else we want but I think we must hurry on this as the insurance companys are making it harder to get now due to world wide events.
