Busy day!

Today has been a really busy day, with lots of running around! Hopefully I can start relaxing and winding down now ...

This morning I took Diosa to work, got the car into West Cork Auto, did laundry and packed two shelves of books away.

Then this afternoon, I picked up the car ... he changed the belt on the AC unit, and now it seems fine, in fact, it seems better than before. I then picked up the books and drove to Lynn, dropping them off at the new apartment.

I then drove to work, measured the trip (8miles and approx 20 mins from new apartment to work), picked up Diosa, then went to the Boston Sports Club in Lynnfield. My company do a deal, they pay for a full years individual membership, and then bill you, in installments in your paycheck, for half of it. Gyms (good ones) are expensive here, so it’s saving me around $400 outright. We both signed up, and if it wasn’t for the traffic, we’d have started using it right away.

As it was, we headed back to Boston ... while cruising down 95, a dark blue, unmarked Crown Victoria passed us, and I swore it was an unmarked police car ... sure enough, 5 minutes later, it had pulled someone over and was ticketing them smile

Via a super market, we made it back home, then immediately went back out for some retail therapy.

We need shoes for the gym, so off to Foot Locker (via Emacks and Bolio, where I had the greatest chocolate icecream, in chocolate coated wafer cone with fudge chunks *ever*), picked up some gym trainers, and I’ve always wanted some Converse high tops, on sale at $34.99, so we both came out with two pairs of shoes each. Then off to Wonder Spice for some yummy Thai food, then off to the video store where we picked up some used DVDs.

Now, back home, retail therapied out. Hot and sweaty and relaxing.

Holidays are great smile

you know…...all this excercise talk is great…....but I can’t help thinking that the chocolate cheesecake and chocolate ice-cream could possibly be seen as over-compensating…...... *grin*
