Senior moment ?

Posted on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 03:31 PM in

To day I have hunted high and low for my glasses. Unable to drive with out them I had to stay at home. I phoned a friend this evening sure that she must have picked them up last night thinking they were hers.
Guess what. I have found them. I have put them into a drawer that we dont use very often.
So is it classed as a senior moment, forgetfulness or can I blame medication.

Took Tommy to the vets this morning. What looked like an ulcer last night was even worse this morning. The area in his groin was bright red with sores and ulcer, he had licked that much there was bald patches and his eyes were all mattered up.Vet said he as been bitten by some insect and it was infected. The infection was spreading through his body.So antibiotic jab given and 2 lots of tablets to give him plus bath it in salt water 2x daily until it is clear.
When I got home I tried to bath it for him but he bit me not too bad but it frightened me as Tommy as never done this before. Tonight when Chris came home we tried again and he as bitten chris as well. We have managed to bath it though and it does look better than this am, lets hope tomorrow is better.

HOT OUT SIDE

Posted on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 02:42 PM in

We are getting some fantastic weather at the moment, its very very hot and sunny [fantastic]. Today I treated us to a new BBQ as our other one was getting past its best. On Friday I also treated myself to a chest freezer. The fridge freezer that I have is great but the freezer side is too small. Now I can buy even more food tongue rolleye
Tomorrow is going to be a busy day, BT are SUPPOSED to be coming in the afternoon [seeing is believing] In the morning I have to take Tommy to the vets. We noticed today that he looked to have a red bald patch on his tummy by his back leg. On closer inspection we have found what looks like quite a large ulcer. He is been very good about it, we haven’t seen him licking it or any thing but it looks very sore. So 8.30am he will get a ride in my car and Tigger will have to stay at home hmmm

Stress

Posted on Friday, July 14, 2006 at 03:45 PM in

Stress levels are running high today thanks to BT.
They were due out today to check the phone line as we are having a LOT of problems with interference on the line. The should have come between 9.30 &1.30.
I am waiting for them and waiting, no they didnt come, so I phone Bt up, no easy task as its all Press1, press2 etc. So I phoned the number for a broad band line and yes I get to speak to some one [by the way his name was Paul] he was great and assured me that he would help sort things out for me [Thank you] I then get to speak to a lady who didnt speak very good english, repeat problem [no work men] 5mins on hold to stupid pipe music and she tells me I need to speak to service provider I explain that it is them that have arranged to send Bt out in the first place. She repeated, I repeated until I asked to speak to her boss, No Boss at moment she was out but would conact me in next 24hrs. Then her boss. No boss she is out. I finish pulling my hair out and put phone down.
So I phone service provider, some one will phone me back. That was 4.30tonight. It is now 10.30pm.
I am stopping now before I SCREAM. ARGHHHHHH
