Time Flys

Posted on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 05:20 PM in

I hadn’t realized that it had been so long since I last posted on here. So much as been going on here that I have forgotten most of it.
First and most important is a BIG CONGRATULATIONS need to be sent to Andy for passing his exams toward accountancy. He as worked long hard hours to get this far and its nice to see him rewarded for his hard work. Good luck Andy for your next stage.
Second. Chris and I booked some tickets to go and see Paul and Beth in April. We are both looking forward to the break and to seeing them again. I have been over since they moved house but Chris hasn’t so he will be doubly be looking forward to it.
I am STILL waiting for my car to be returned to me after the accident and hate driving the courtesy car that I have been given but at least it means I can get out and about.
Last week we had some pretty bad winds over here [all the way from USA, {thanks Paul} we are told] they managed to do quite a bit of damage around here. Our house roof was quite badly damaged and we now have a hole in it which is now open to the stars. We got a company out on Friday but they didn’t stay around looking for long then phoned me to pass on the name of a guy who did tilling ? In other words they didn’t want the job. We are now waiting for some one else to come out. In the mean time I just pray we dint get snow or lots of rain other wise we could have a bigger problem on our hands.
Finally . My Friend of many years as been having family problems in the last few weeks and last week end things became too much for her so she moved in here for a few days while things got sorted out. She is now back home but I think with some of the above and having my fiend here things then started to get on top of me, my sugar levels dropped and I lost sense of reality. A good lot of sugar and carbs got it back to where it should be after a couple of days and now I am back to normal but very tired. ROLL ON APRIL.

I was going to get these for Xmas from Paul and Beth but my coffee machine as broken so they are now getting me a new one.
Today whilst out shopping I decided to get one and Chris [bless him] wanted one as well. Thought it would look good with his pink shoes SO he bought 2of them. No one will mistake them for theirs , will they?

Xmas again

It doesn’t seem 2mins since last Christmas and here we are again. All the decs are up now but unfortunately the winds have been very strong this year and we are having to replace quite a lot of them. Even my nice big snowman as died a sudden death. We haven’t put any decs up on the Lodge roof this year for safety reasons and I miss them but Chris’s car and his own safety putting them up made us move them to round the front of the house. In the New Year when the decs come down we are going to get rid of our xmas tree as that too as seen better days.
This week I am heading to London for a couple of days with my sister. We are going to be taking part in some twin research program. I think we might just about have time for a tiny tiny [yeh, not that tiny] xmas shopping.
